BENEATH THE LIVING NETWORK
The Fossil Layer.
In a real forest, nothing that came before truly disappears. It sinks into the soil and feeds what grows next. Each time a holder roots an Evolved Mnode, the token's original form is buried here, kept safe as the ancient history of the Mycelium.

WHAT A FOSSIL IS
A record, not an NFT.
A fossil is the original artwork and traits a token carried before it was rooted. The art stays stored permanently on IPFS and its traits live on inside the token as Origin traits, so nothing is ever lost.
Fossils are not NFTs. Nobody owns them and they cannot be traded. The token itself keeps its number and now carries the Evolved Mnode.
The more the community evolves, the deeper the Fossil Layer grows. What the buried forms may one day feed is still unwritten.
